In the past few years, Open_Music has increasingly embraced the use of electronic media to augment its traditional Instrumentarium and initiated more projects in which guest musicians (some of whom have been associated with Open_Music projects in the past) are invited to work several days with members of the ensemble. Three such projects from 2021-2022 are presented here in a new Bandcamp series called ELEKTROAKUSTIKA.

Late August 2022, Open_Music held their first Summer Residency to intensively research new, interactive forms of work and presentation in Tango Ocho (Wagenhallen Stuttgart). Guests and visitors were invited to participate actively or as spectators or during the time.

The musicians Jörg Koch and Jochen Keil accepted this invitation to improvise with live electronics and electroacoustic means and several encounters with Roderik Vanderstraeten and Scott Roller from Open_Music resulted. On Sunday, August 28, 2022, the four musicians played two electroacoustic sets at Tango Ocho for a friendly audience. Acoustic instruments like Roderik's new NoiseBoxes, Scott's cello and Jochen's trumpet sounded in a very fantastic and rich electronic context.
